Function description

Milan Planning and Controlling team is responsible for running the day to day P&L control of businesses in scope of Markets Italy SpA and UniCredit Bank AG Milan Branch, performing daily Economic and IFRS P&L reporting, analysis and explanations.

Global Markets is a critical and dynamic component of the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) value chain. It serves as the product factory for all Markets related products and instruments for the Group including coverage of institutional investors, corporates and networks  for distribution.  With a cross-asset class solution approach, including FX, CEE, Rates, Credit, Equity Derivatives and Commodities, the changing needs of our institutional and corporate clients are addressed with an offering of plain vanilla products as well as tailor-made



Job description

  • Prepare and perform daily Economic and IFRS P&L
  • Perform analytical review of daily P&L  (e.g. P&L decomposition by risk factors, IFRS P&L components development, etc.), ensure timely trader sign-off and produce commentary and analysis for stakeholders
  • Run proactively investigation of P&L relevant issues for desks in scope, interact with Trading, Risk, Finance and Accounting
  • Participate in business initiatives and Markets Planning & Controlling projects

    • Academic studies with a focus on finance/banking or equivalent with strong academic record
    • Analytical and quantitative skills
    • Self-responsibility and accuracy in working with numbers
    • Knowledge of financial instruments and understanding of their P&L valuation
    • Keen to work within a multi-national team
    • Fluent English and Italian
    • Proficient MS-Office user, skills in VBA and SQL
    • Availability from February 2019
