Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) is a cross-country division of our Group which services the financial needs of small-medium enterprises, large corporates, multinationals, financial institutions, investors and commercial banking customers through corporate and transaction banking as well as structured finance, capital markets and investment products.
CIB provides access to markets in Western, Eastern and Central Europe and accompanies customers internationally.

Function description

Financing & Advisory (F&A) is a Product Line that provides customers financing and capital solutions tailored to their needs. With roughly 1,000 colleagues in 15 countries, F&A delivers a wide range of funding solutions ranging from plain vanilla lending to sophisticated structured finance, advisory services and access to debt and equity capital markets.


Within the F&A Product Line Corporate Finance Advisory (CFA) is responsible for the Group-wide steering and coordination of all Merger & Acquisition (M&A) transactions and respective advisory services for the whole UniCredit client base with focus on UniCredit’s core countries Austria, Germany, Italy and CEE.

Job description

The candidate will have the opportunity to join the CFA team in Milan that originates and executes M&A transactions in Italy and works closely with CFA teams in Austria, Germany and CEE. Key responsibilities include:

  • Day-to-day management of M&A projects (origination and execution)
  • Co-ordination of internal project teams as well as external teams (client, legal, accounting advisers) on M&A projects
  • Preparation of M&A pitchbooks, Information Memoranda and other M&A documents
  • Providing guidance and training to junior team members and monitoring their work
  • Close daily collaboration with other CFA and Investment Banking units of UniCredit
  • Direct client interaction in a challenging and international environment.

What we expect from you

Our ideal candidate meets the following requirements

  • Degree preferably in Business or Economics
  • 4 -7 years of relevant professional experience in Corporate Finance, M&A or Private Equity
  • Experience working in an international environment and in management of junior resources
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
  • Performance-oriented, flexible, resilient under stress
  • Confident, high level of motivation and proactivity
  • Excellent communicative and presentation skills
